Hunters Goldstrike Golden Retrievers is a small family-oriented licensed breeder of Golden Retrievers located in beautiful, colorful Colorado about 50 miles north of Denver.  Our dogs live with us on a five acre ranch. A canal runs through it and they enjoy running and swimming for plenty of exercise.  They also enjoy getting in our truck and going to a near by pond or river for a few marks on water or land as part of their training process.  They have proved to be very eager retrievers.

When our girls were small, we got our first golden.  He soon became so much a part of our family!  Our first golden, Roman was a grandson of AFC Holway Barty.  He was an excellent hunter and we didn't really have to train him.  He had a lot of natural ability, was a great companion, hunter, obedience and all around kind of a dog. 

We were hooked on Golden Retrievers after owning this one.  We have since had several and have found the breed to be exceptional.  Since 1991 when we bred our first litter, we have learned as much as possible about breeding and training them.  Hunters Goldstrike Golden Retriever has a goal to  strive for good breeding practices along with clearances, appearances, and temperament. 

Currently we belong to the Golden Retriever Club of America which is American Kennel Club (AKC) affiliated.  Check out their website at www.grca.org.   We run mostly United Kennel Club (UKC)/Hunting Retriever Club (HRC) to which we belong to our local club and several others in near by states, The Platte Valley Hunt Retrieving Club in Colorado, Panhandle Hunting Retriever club in Nebraska and Hidden Pines Hunting Retriever Club in Wyoming.  Want to know what I am talking about?  Take a look at these videos.  They will show you each level of testing in HRC.  You will see how Striker got his championship, working his way up through the tests beginning with Started, Seasoned, Finished and Upland.  Now  he runs the Finished and Upland part (no video on Upland) to earn these points!  He has ran in many tests with Chris Jobman as his handler and has had many passes!  Thank you Chris and Way to go Striker!  Current Points = 875!  Our goal is 1000 points which will get him in the 1000 point club with UKC!

Lee Ann is currently the Public Relations rep for Region 13 which includes Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Wyoming.  It gives us both a chance to meet a lot of great people and their dogs and help other clubs in this region.  It also gives us an opportunity to meet people across the nation!
