Seven!  A future Striker Female pup!

Striker and his father, Hunter make such a fine team.  He likes to steal all of his dad's toys even at his current age of 6 years. Striker is such a character!  He, like Hunter has been easy to train, but yet he is anxious and full of drive in the field.  He has tons of drive in the field!  His dam is Gabby who came to us from Sungold Kennels!  Striker is known for his "talking back" all across the United States!  Just one of his characteristic traits that we love about him! 

He has the broad head look, which adds to his handsome looks and weighs about 75 pounds and stands 23 inches tall.  He is the true golden color and built very stout and athletic!

Striker has proved himself in the field, by seven months of age he had three started passes towards the SHR title. On August 17, 2003 at eleven months of age, he passed the Started level and received the SHR title.  Striker received his HR title on August 14, 2004 at the Platte Valley Fall Hunt Test.  Striker also received his UH (Upland) title on March 13, 2005 at the Central Rockies Upland Hunt Test!   On June 19, 2005 Striker received his Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title at Panhandle HRC hunt test in Bridgeport, Nebraska.  In Striker's impressive run of titles, he only misfired in two tests on the way to three titles in ten months, receiving his HR, UH, and HRCH titles.  Thanks to Chris Jobman!  

News Up-date:    Striker has received his Hunting Retriever Championship (HRCH) on June 19, 2005.  This makes his third title since August of 2004.  Thanks Chris!

August 13, 2006 Striker earned his 500 points and is now inducted into the 500 point club with HRC.   Follow the 500 point link and check under Heldt! Currently there are 379 dogs in the 500 point club of which most are labs.  Of these 379 dogs there are only 25 Golden Retrievers to which Striker is one of them.  What a great accomplishment!  Thanks to Chris Jobman! 

Striker handled by  Chris will be working towards his 1000 points.  Currently there are only three goldens who have achieved this!    He currently has 905 as of 8-10-08.   Needing only 95 points to achieve this, he should be able to pass seven test in 2009.  Maybe after that we will continue to run him mostly for fun and then accomplish that next level of 1500 to which currently there are no golden retrievers in it!  It might be worth pursuing!

Although Striker has never passed the grand, he has made it to the 3rd series twice.  We are proud of him for even being qualified to run with the "big guys" at the national level.  We have decided to retire him from any more Grands and will work on those points for the 1000 point recognition.
